Ajax Cape Town have been handed a massive boost ahead of their Absa Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
The Urban Warriors will travel to Durban this weekend to face the current log leaders at their alternative home ground – the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Coetzee missed out on Bafana Bafana duty last weekend due to a hamstring injury, while Nxumalo had been suffering from meningitis.
"Nxumalo has recovered from meningitis, while Coetzee overcame a hamstring injury. They both returned to training with the rest of the squad on Monday," read a statement on the club's website.
While Rodger de Sa raised concerns over Nxumalo's fitness, the coach confirmed that Coetzee is likely to return to action against the Amakhosi.
”Prince got back to training this week. So it’s just a question of fitness,” De Sa said at the press conference on Tuesday. “Rivaldo is fine, he trained the past two days without any pain.”
With Ajax yet to register a win in four games this season, the former Orlando Pirates coach has no concerns over his troops' readiness for their battle against a high-on-confidence Chiefs outfit.
“We always raise our game against the ‘so-called big teams’. A lot of players have put their hands up, that’s all you can ask for!” he concluded.
