Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Buchanan is excited to make a "special" return to the Free State Stadium and play in front of Bloemfontein Celtic supporters.
Buchanan is expected to make his official return from an eight-month injury lay-off when Amakhosi take on Phunya Sele Sele in the annual Macufe Cup on Sunday.
The 25-year-old suffered a serious knee injury in training with Celtic back in January, before making the switch to Naturena during the off-season.
He has since fully recovered and managed a few appearances with the club's Multichoice Diksi Challenge side but will likely make his first team debut against his former employers – a return he has described as "special".
"Ja, we'll see [whether I start or not]. Obviously, it's something special to go back and play in front of my old supporters and against my old team," said the industrious centre-mid.
Buchanan, who will be donning the famous number 10 shirt in his first season with the 'Glamour' cliub, says he will not put himself under pressure to perform but rather use the opportunity to show coach Steve Komphela that he is ready to help the team.
"I'm not going to put myself under pressure, I'm just going there to play and try and show the coach that, 'you know what, I'm putting up my hand' and show that I can help the team," he added.
"It's also important, obviously, to get the minutes under my belt. Being out for so long it's about getting my touches and confidence back, so this will be a good test for me."
The SuperSport United Academy graduate spent three years at Celtic, after spells at Winners Park and FC Cape Town in the First Division.
