Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani Mabunda has dismissed suggestions the team are showing signs of fatigue heading into the first leg of their CAF Champions League final with Zamalek.
Sundowns looked out-of-sorts in the 3-0 hammering by Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 final in Nelspruit last weekend.
Mabunda, however, insists the workload is not an issue for the Absa Premiership and Telkom Knockout champions.
"I don’t think it affected us against Wits," Mabunda tells KickOff.com. "We played well but failed to convert the chances we had.
"I don’t think playing many games has started to affect us. We are Mamelodi Sundowns, we are footballers, this is our job. I believe we have the right technical team and trainers to deal with the workload that we have to go through.
"We are ready to go through this challenge. We put ourselves in this situation which shows we are professionals. Every game we play, we will give our all."
Mabunda adds: "Now we have to just dust ourselves off and move on. Our focus now is on the Champions League. We have a big final, we need to focus on it and get ready."
Downs will host Zamalek at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on October 15.
