Bidvest Wits striker Cuthbert Malajila says the team is well versed with the playing style of Mamelodi Sundowns and the role of key personnel like Brazilians midfield enforcer Hlompho Kekana.
The Students will host Sundowns in the MTN8 final at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, with Malajila hoping to win the tournament for the first time at the expense of his former employers.
"It's a cup final, anything can change, maybe we change the tactics also," Malajila tells KickOff.com.
"For us we must be positive, how we can exploit what we think are their weaknesses. I think them also, they are doing their tactics. It's good for them and us. We know where we are gonna go, one goal can win it."
Malajila is mindful of Kekana's influence in the engine room for Pitso Mosimane's star-studded outfit, who also qualified for the CAF Champions League final this month.
"I think they are good on the second ball, the counter-attack. But as I said, we know that is their strength. We know Kekana can do the job. So as I said, we are going through those things. Even videos, we are gonna check them again, so see again their weaknesses and strengths."
The Zimbabwean, who traded Downs for Wits in the off-season, won every other domestic competition during his time at Chloorkop. Naturally he would like to complete the set this weekend.
"For me, this is the last trophy I don't have. I have to give everything, it is more important for the team and to me because it is the last cup I don't have. If we win, I will be the happiest person."
