Orlando Pirates’ Justice Chabalala, Muhsin Ertugral bitterly disappointed after draw

Posted: 21 September 2016 Time: 09:41

Orlando Pirates defender Justice Chabalala was pleased to have featured once again for the Bucs in the league, but admits the team needs to raise their game.

The former Free State Stars man was handed his second start as the Soweto giants were held to a goalless draw against Cape Town City on Tuesday night, and despite being happy with his display, acknowledged that the team as a unit needs to do more.

"I'm very happy about how I played, but I would have been happier with the team winning the game," he said after the match.

"We worked hard as a team, but it's all about taking in the instructions and trying to execute that as best you can."

Coach Mushin Ertugral was visible upset and disappointed in the manner in which his side failed to carry out his gameplan.

“Today only 60% of my players listened to my instructions,” he said.

“I’m disappointed over the type of football we dished out today. It didn’t look like the same team in training, in terms of patterns, organisational forms and tactical aspects.

“I need to understand the players, and they need to understand me. Not matter what we did today, everything we did didn’t work.”

Ertugral will look to instil his philosophy in training as quickly as possible ahead of the Bucs’ clash against Bidvest Wits this Saturday.
