Thobani Mncwango expects maximum points against Ajax Cape Town

Polokwane City striker Thobani Mncwango believes maximum points in their Absa Premiership clash against Ajax Cape Town is a very real possibility.

Rise and Shine will visit the Cape Town Stadium this evening with the hopes of capitalising on a wounded Ajax outfit, following their 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates last week.

Luc Eymael's side, meanwhile, managed a morale lifting 0-0 draw against an on-form Bidvest Wits in their last fixture, with the Belgian tactician first to admit that his side should have gotten more than just a point at home.

Mncwango, who was City's best player last season with 13 goals in 22 starts, says a similar performance against the Urban Warriors tonight could guarentee they walk away with their first win under their new coach.

"I think we prepared very well for this game and i think that if we can give the same performance, if not more, compared to the one against Wits we will get maximum points in today's match," he told his club's website.

The 28-year-old frontman has yet to open his account this season, however, and will be hoping to bag his and his club's first goal of the 2016/17 season.

Kick-off of their clash tonight is scheduled to kick-off at 19h30.
