Stars, Celtic share Derby spoils

The Free State Derby ended in a frustrating goalless draw for Bloemfontein Celtic in an Absa Premiership match at Goble Park on Wednesday evening.
The first 45 minutes of the game produced open, attacking football with both teams showing their intentions from the onset.
However, it was Celtic that was on constant attack. Thela Ngobeni was called to task on numerous occasions and produced fine saves to keep Celtic at bay.
Celtic kept searching for an opener, and it was Ngobeni again with a man-of-the-match performance to deny Kabelo Mahlasela an opener before half-time and force a goalless scoreline at the interval.
In the second half Siwelele continued with their search for a goal, and were a more threatening side, but Ngobeni proved to be a stumbling block between Celtic and three points on the night.
Despite dominating the game, Celtic failed get a goal to top their impressive performance and Serame Letsoaka’s charges had to settle for a point.
