Thabo Mnyamane feels SuperSport United are still on track

New SuperSport United signing Thabo Mnyamane insists the Pretoria club are still on track despite two successive losses this season.

Matsatsantsa were opening day losers to Platinum Stars, before being humbled by city rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8, yet Mnyamane feels his side have put the de4feats behind them as they prepare for their first home game of the season against high-flying Chippa United.

“We really need to win this one for our fans,” he is quoted as saying on his club’s official website. “We have lost three points already, but we have put it in the back of our minds.  Also, we were unlucky after pulling out of the MTN8 Cup in the first round.

“We have assembled a competitive team and we are not demoralised by the two losses. We went back to the drawing board and everything is on track.”

SuperSport has been hit with a spate of injuries, yet Mnyamane insists that will not derail the team ahead of their match-up with the Chilli Boys.

“We have capable players who can do the job on the day despite injuries,” he said. “We have done our homework and are ready for Chippa.”

Kick-off at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday is set for 19:30.
