Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is set to make his debut for Orlando Pirates when they take on Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday.

Mabokgwane is set to take the number one jersey for Pirates after Felipe Ovono was dropped from the team travelling to Cape Town for the Absa Premiership clash.

According to a source close to the club, Mhlongo is set to deputise for Mabokgwane after Siyabonga Mpontshane was also dropped to the Bucs reserve team that took part in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge on Sunday.

“Ovono has been left behind for the team travelling to Cape Town. Mabokgwane is set to take the number one jersey for the game against Ajax,” the source reveals to KickOff.com.

The Limpopo-born goalkeeper is one of the players who turned down the opportunity to join Cape Town City after Mpumalanga Black Aces was bought by John Comitis.
