SuperSport United coach Stuart Baxter has rued the number of injuries to his squad ahead of their Absa Premiership clash against Chippa United on Wednesday.
Baxter has confirmed the unavailability of central defenders Clayton Daniels and Tefu Mashamaite, while Dean Furman and Keegan Ritchie are also experiencing knee discomfort.
"We've got a lot of injuries: Clayton Daniels broke his arm in training and had a very heavy concussion, and I've got 'Masha' at the hospital this morning - checking his knee," Baxter told reporters on Monday morning.
"Dean is coming back to test his knee. Keegan Ritchie is out, he's got a knee problem; I could go on and on. I think we have about 20 players in training this morning."
Meanwhile, Baxter also confirmed that the club are currently assessing 22-year-old Senegalese centre-forward Ibrahim Sory Keita, who previously played for Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.
"We've got a trialist working with us – Ibrahim – who has played for Wydad. We got a shout from [Wydad coach] John Toschak to say that the boy is interested [in moving to South Africa], so we're having a look at him."
