SuperSport's Alexander braced for competition with Letsholonyane, Furman and Morton

Posted: 8 September 2016 Time: 18:45

Cole Alexander is well aware he faces fierce competition for game-time in midfield from fellow SuperSport United newcomer Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Dean Furman and the industrious Michael Morton.

Alexander joined Matsatsantsa from Polokwane City in the off-season, and is naturally eager to win the favour of coach Stuart Baxter in Tshwane.

The former Ajax Cape Town man featured off the bench in place of Morton in United's 3-1 loss to derby rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 on August 28.

"I know it won't come easy (game-time). I'm just working hard. I just came back from a knee injury that I sustained in one of the pre-season friendlies but I'm okay now. I even played in the MTN8," Alexander tells KickOff.com.

"It's up to the coach, I will just give my best. I know it's not going to be a walk in the park. I'm competing with a lot of quality players here. I have joined a big team in South Africa. One of the reasons I came here is to win something in my career."

SuperSport next face Chippa United in the league at Lucas Moripe Stadium on September 14.
