Lehlohonolo Majoro chose Cape Town City to challenge himself

Posted: 6 September 2016 Time: 15:14

Lehlohonolo Majoro says he chose to sign with Cape Town City because it presented him with a new challenge.

According to the 30-year-old striker he had offers from other teams but chose instead to link up with former Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler in the Mother City.

"There were other offers, but I chose to go to a different environment where I'm out of my comfort zone," Majoro told the September issue of KICK OFF magazine.

"Sometimes when you are too comfortable you tend to forget about what you have to do. I'm happy that I have joined Eric in Cape Town."

Despite seeing very little game time under Tinkler at the Buccaneers, Majoro appears to have been given a new lease on life at City.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu striker has started both of City's competitive games this season - their league opener and an MTN 8 quarter-final.
