AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela says Siyabonga Nomvete and Mabhuti Khenyeza have a key role to play for the promotion hopefuls this season.
The veteran hitmen are the only active players to net over 100 goals in the PSL era, with Nomvete scoring again in the 2-1 win over Black Leopards in the opening round of the NFD.
Khenyeza joined Usuthu in the off-season from topflight neighbours Golden Arrows.
"We know their attitudes and personalities of what they have done in the past," Sokhela tells KickOff.com.
"We are hoping the boys can look up to them. They are still quality players and are still going to add a lot of value on the field of play.
"More importantly we want them to mentor the youngsters. We speak of Zola (Jingxi), we speak of S'bu (Magaqa) and you speak of (Dylan) Stoffels and those are the guys they need to learn from their experience.
"Like Delron Buckley (assistant coach) and Japhet Zwane (team manager) have done that. They have played for the national team and played at the highest level, so we are club that wants them to guide them properly."
