Bruwer case still in the air

The Premier Soccer League will take no action against former Ajax Cape Town goalkeeper Danzyl Bruwer who tested positive in a random dope test recently.

The Namibian keeper left for home shortly before Christmas and has not returned to Cape Town.

Urban Warriors’ spokesman ‘Shooz’ Mekuto confirmed this and said that as a result the club had terminated his contract and will have no further dealings in the matter.

PSL official Altaaf Kazi disclosed to KickOff.com that sanctions pertaining to doping-related matters fall outside the League’s ambit and that the matter is now in the hands of Safa.

There has been no indication from the mother body as to how or when they will approach the Bruwer case.
