Happy Jele, Gladwin Shitolo on the way back for Orlando Pirates

Posted: 31 August 2016 Time: 10:43

Orlando Pirates right-back Happy Jele is expected to return to full training by the end of the week, while fellow defender Gladwin Shitolo is also on the way back for the Soweto giants.

According to Pirates' website, Jele is undergoing his final phase of rehabilitation after straining a hamstring in Bucs' 3-1 win over Golden Arrows in the league last week.

The 29-year-old missed the Buccaneers' 2-1 defeat to Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 quarter-finals on the weekend.

Shitolo, who is due to have scan, is likely to rejoin his teammates at the beginning of next week after suffering a grade two tear to his quad in a practise match with Bloemfontein Celtic in July.

Meanwhile, new signing Thembela Sikhakhane is nursing a dead leg.

Muhsin Ertugral's men next visit Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium on September 13.
