Ex-Kaizer Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite jumped at chance to reunite with Stuart Baxter at SuperSport

Tefu Mashamaite says he didn't think twice about reuniting with Stuart Baxter at SuperSport United.

The 31-year-old has joined Matsatsantsa on a two-year deal after an injury-blighted year with Hacken in Sweden.

Mashamaite previously worked with SuperSport coach Baxter at Kaizer Chiefs, notably winning the PSL Footballer of the Season award when Amakhosi claimed the league and MTN8 in 2014/15.

"It is an honour for me to play for this club, with this team that has achieved so much in South African football by being one of the elite clubs to win the full bouquet of domestic trophies, " Mashamaite said at his unveiling on Tuesday.

“When the opportunity presented itself for me to come back home I did not think twice, I jumped at the opportunity to team up with my former coach. I am thrilled at the prospect of playing in the Absa Premiership again and look forward to adding value to the team,” added the centre-back.
