Linda Bhengu joins Cape Town All Stars

Posted: 29 August 2016 Time: 17:59

KickOff.com can confirm that National First Division club Cape Town Stars All Stars have brought in Linda Bhengu on loan from AmaZulu.

Bhengu – who is the younger brother to Royal Eagles’ new signing Phumelele ‘Ace’ – is already in Cape Town and due to start training with his new club tomorrow.

His move to All Stars has been forced by the fact that his chances of regular game-time at AmaZulu have now become slim with Usuthu preferring the experienced trio of Siyabonga Nomvethe, Mabhuti Khenyeza and Siphesihle Nzimande.

The 20-year-old has been capped at junior national team level and just just like his older brother, plays as a striker.

All Stars just recently turned down the opportunity to sign Orlando Pirates striker Letsie Koapeng, who had been training with them after another failed move to FC Cape Town.

Koapeng trained with FC Cape Town earlier this month in anticipation of a loan move which didn’t happen and then crossed over to All Stars where no deal happened for him.

Ajax Cape Town midfielder Ziyaad ‘Ziggy’ Eksteen is also still not at the club despite earlier reports linking him with a move to the club.

Meanwhile, former University of Pretoria goalkeeper Lebo Ngubeni has joined FC Cape Town. Ngubeni has spent almost all of his time with Tuks as a back-up option to Washington Arubi and Tristyn Coetsee.
