Black Leopards striker Roggert Nyundu has set his sights on scoring 25 goals this season.
The 28-year-old opened his account in the 2-1 loss to AmaZulu on Sunday in the first round of NFD fixtures.
"The target I have set for myself is to score 25 goals and what I did today is what I'm aiming to do," Nyundu told KickOff.com.
"There's no one who is going to stop me. I still have unfinished business with the NFD.
"Not to say Nyundu was there and disappeared, but I want to leave the legacy where they will know who was Nyundu."
Nyundu netted eight goals in an injury-affected campaign last term, having hit 19 in all competitions the season before.
Nyundu, who narrowly missed out on joining Bidvest Wits in the past, believes PSL teams will come calling if he continues to do damage upfront.
"When it's not your time it's not your time," he added.
"So whatever you do you need to push and you must always be on top form in your game. And one other thing, I'm happy with the opportunity I get at Black Leopards and it shows they have trust in me. So I believe when time goes on this team will be promoted.
"But I need to score many goals as I can and when January comes teams can sign me because this thing of saying they want you but they don't show any concrete offers, sometimes it's disheartening. So I believe you need to score goals so that they will notice you."
