Bafana Bafana have gone into camp for their upcoming clashes against Mauritania and Egypt minus Ajax Cape Town duo Prince Nxumalo and Rivaldo Coetzee.
Bafana team management confirmed this morning that Nxumalo has a hamstring injury while Coetzee is down with chicken pox.
Nxumalo also missed Ajax’s season opening match away to Baroka last Tuesday, while Coetzee played 90 minutes.
Both players are due to be replaced today.
“We have already indentified who we will replace these players with, but we are still talking to their clubs and as soon as they confirm and send them to us then we will let you know who those players are,” Shakes Mashaba told reporters on Monday morning.
Bafana will round off a failed 2017 AFCON qualifying campaign with a date against Mauritania on Friday at Mbombela Stadium.
Then on Tuesday the senior national will be at Orlando Stadium to face off with Egypt in the 22nd edition of the Nelson Mandela Challenge.
