Bayern Munich hand Bundesliga thrashing to Werder Bremen

Posted: 26 August 2016 Time: 23:10

Bayern Munich were rarely troubled as they eased to a comfortable 6-0 victory over Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Friday evening.

Bayern went into the half-time break with a two goal advantage, thanks to Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski.

And they kicked it up a gear after the break as Lewandowski added a second goal just one minute after the restart, with Philipp Lahm and Franck Ribéry also getting in on the act as the half wore on.

And Poland international Lewandowski confidently rounded off the scoring in the 77th minute, slotting home from the penalty spot to complete his hat-trick.
