Golden Arrows newcomer Lerato Lamola is eager to repay the faith shown in him by coach Clinton Larsen.
The striker recently joined Arrows from Bloemfontein Celtic along with Vuyani Ntanga and Wayde Jooste.
"With what I have seen with the team's attack is I need to work hard on scoring goals," Lamola tells KickOff.com.
"For sure this team was doing good last season and they were unfortunate that they didn't finish in the top eight.
"But for me I'm hungry, hungry to work for this team... It is the new family for me. If someone wanted you in your family and adopts you as the child, like the mother of this team, what I can do is to be disciplined and work hard for him and get the winning mentality."
Lamola thrived under Larsen at Celtic in 2014/15 as he hit 13 league goals - one less than then-Golden Boot winner Moeketsi Sekola.
Abafana Bes'thende will start their league campaign against Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday (kick-off: 19h30).
Larsen will be minus suspended defender Musa Bilankulu.
