Thabo Mosadi excited for Ajax Cape Town chapter following his move from University of Pretoria

Ajax Cape Town newcomer Thabo Mosadi believes the club can set the pace in the Absa Premiership title race in 2016/17.

Roger de Sa's side are unable to defend their MTN8 crown this season after finishing 10th in the league last term.

However, Mosadi is confident the Urban Warriors will impress when they start afresh against topflight newcomers Baroka FC at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday.

“Ajax are able to finish on top as you can see here we have players who have a lot of energy, they are skillful and they are football-minded," Mosadi tells

“I think the coach has everything he needs, just that it’s up to him to put out the right starting eleven. We can compete and go into the December break leading the table.”

The midfielder is eager to make an impact at Ikamva following his arrival from University of Pretoria in July.

“I’m very excited and I can’t wait for the league to start.

“I think I’m going to score a lot of goals and have more assists in the Premier League this season because we have been playing friendly matches and I've been assisting and it’s been good.”
