The former Bafana Bafana defender has returned to Matsatsantsa on a one-year deal after being released by Chiefs at the end of last season.

Gould played a key role for United from 2008 to 2012, helping the club win two league titles and the Nedbank Cup before moving to Amakhosi.

And while the 33-year-old also claimed silverware with the Glamour Boys he was hard-hit by injuries in his time at Naturena.

"I am happy to be back. It feels like home," Gould tells KickOff.com.

"I know the setup as I was here before. I know the coach (Stuart Baxter), I worked with him at Chiefs.

"But I am more like one of the new players. I have to work hard like everybody else and convince everyone, including the coach, that I deserve to play for SuperSport."

SuperSport have recruited a number of players in the off-season, including Reyaad Pieterse, Cole Alexander and Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
