Reyaad Pieterse welcomes appointment of Andre Arendse at SuperSport United

SuperSport United goalkeeper Reyaad Pietersen has welcomed the arrival of goalkeeper coach Andrea Arendse at the club.
As earlier revealed by KickOff.com, Arendse left Bidvest Wits and teamed up Matsatsatsantsa, where he was spotted during their friendly match against Witbank Spurs at the TUT Sports Grounds today.
Pieterse has welcomed the healthy competation amongst the other three goalkeepers in the team, and praises the appointment of Arendse as head of the 'keeper department.
"The competition is good between the four of us. We have Andre now, which is vitally important for us to improve and grow as goalkeepers, and to fight for the number spot," Pieterse tells KickOff.com.
"It's healthy competition. We are pushing each other for the benefit of the team."
The Tshwane-based side are set to open the campaign their 2016/17 campaign with a clash against Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium next week Wenesday, before playing the Tshwane Derby against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN 8 semi-final clash at the Loftus Stadium on August 29.
"It is important to take one game at a time," add the former Kaizer Chiefs deputy.
"Our first game, we are meeting Platinum Stars and it is important to do well in that game before we start thinking about Sundowns."
Arendse's first assignment will be to decide who to hand the number one spot to between Pieterse, Ronwen Williams, Boafela Pule and Dumsani Msibi ahead of their opening game in less than a week.
