Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral feels Abbubaker Mobara will bring stability in the heart of his midfield, and cannot wait for the Under-23 South African international to join up with his squad.
Mobara, together with national U-23 teammates Gift Motupa and Thabiso Kutumela, will join the Buccaneers camp on Monday following their participation at the Rio Olympics in Brazil.
"They are coming back on Sunday, and on Monday we are all going into camp for a week," Ertugral said.
The Turkish coach feels the former Ajax Cape Town man is just what his side’s midfield is missing, while also reserving special praise for the Soweto giants’ other new recruits.
"Mobara is a player that understands what we want and he will be in the midfield, pairing up with Oupa Manyisa,” Ertugral said. “It will give us a playing balance, and I can't wait to have him here.
"Motupa and Kutumela are fantastic youngsters to have in the team. We still have Riyaad Norodien and Bernard Morrison out and those are creative players too.
"A combination between Thabo Rakhale and Morrison will be problematic to all opposition defenders."
Following their friendly Maize Cup success over Platinum Stars, Pirates will begin preparations for their first Absa Premiership game of the season at home to Golden Arrows.
