Granwald Scott gets first start of the season in Slovan Bratislava cup win

Posted: 9 August 2016 Time: 19:40

Granwald Scott’s Slovakian side Slovan Bratislava were given a scare on Tuesday but squeezed into the next round of the country’s FA Cup competition after a penalty shoot-out victory over lower league Vranov.

The third-tier side held Slovan to a 0-0 draw in the third round match, before the top-flight team triumphed 3-2 on penalties.

Scott started the game but was replaced at halftime after an ineffective first 45 minutes.

It was a first start of the season for the former Ajax Cape Town man, who had made just three substitute appearances so far.
