Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela is pleased with the amount of work fan-favourite Hendrick Ekstein is putting in at training ahead of the new season.
Ekstein, who saw little game-time last term, played in the F.A.M.E Charity Cup on Saturday having also featured in the Carling Black Label Champion Cup the weekend before.
"He has always been a good player. It's only now that he is starting to be more serious and you can see the amount of work he puts in," Komphela says.
"I'm sure everybody has seen what he can give and it will only benefit us."
Meanwhile, Komphela says he has a welcome headache in terms of team selection. The former Maritzburg United boss rotated his squad at Peter Mokaba Stadium as Chiefs lost 3-0 to Baroka FC on penalties in the final.
"We are okay. It is a great headache, 22 players feeling positions and you saw the first game and the second one. Now out of those 22, you have to bring 11, it's a nice headache."
