SuperSport United eye former Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould

KickOff.com has learnt that SuperSport United are preparing to sign defender Morgan Gould on a short-term contract.

Gould is currently without a team after leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season, and is currently training with the Pretoria club where he has reportedly impressed head coach Stuart Baxter.

According to a source close to Matsatsantsa, the club are still struggling to secure the signature of Mario Booysen from Mamelodi Sundowns, and could settle for Gould as a short-term solution.

"The club is still struggling to reach an agreement with Sundowns over the services of Mario Booysen," the source reveals.

"Sundowns are demanding more money and the club is looking at signing Morgan Gould as a short-term solution at the moment.”

Gould is more than familiar with the environment at SuperSport, having played over 100 matches for the club from 2008 to 2012 before his move to Chiefs.
