Mamelodi Sundowns have again set their sights on bringing Bafana Bafana defender Anele Ngcongca to Chloorkop and have made formal contact for the player.

Sundowns pulled off what could be one of the biggest signings of the season when they finally secured Sibusiso Vilakazi from Bidvest Wits after a marathon that lasted for almost a year.

News reaching is that The Brazilians have now made official contact to Ngcongca's representatives with the view to bringing him back to South Africa.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has not ruled out the possibility of bringing the 28-year-old to Chloorkop for this coming season, having not been able to do so last year.

“We would like to have Ngcongca,” he confirms. “But let’s wait and see.”

Sundowns lost former captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele to Kaizer Chiefs but have also brought in Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento in his place. Nascimento is still waiting for his work permit.
