Morgan Gould, Bennett Chenene, Manti Mekoa waiting to sign for Moroka Swallows FC

KickOff.com can confirm that experienced PSL players Morgan Gould, Bennett Chenene and Manti Mekoa (Moholo) are all waiting in the wings to sign for the new Moroka Swallows franchise. 

Swallows will buy the top-flight status of Free State Stars, who are campaigning today at Uthukela Mayor Cup in Ladysmith, where they lost 1-0 in the semifinals to Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Swallows, who were relegated in the ABC Motsepe League from National First Division, are waiting for the PSL to give them the go ahead to approve the sale and the club’s relocation to Johannesburg.

A source has revealed to KickOff.com that the contracts of some of the players from Free State Stars will be transferred to Swallows FC entity as of tomorrow. 

"Players like Morgan Gould, Bennett Chenene and Manti Mekoa are all also waiting on the wings to join the club,” the source revealed. “It’s a messy situation as you can see. The 27 Stars players that were brought here to play in this tournament and have been informed of the situation.

"Stars will be buying National First Division side Mthatha Bucks and that will likely happen next week."

Stars' players who will be joining Swallows are: Jonny Mathole, Paulus Masehe, Katlego Mashego, Davis Nkausu, Danny Venter, Moeketsi Sekola, Bokang Thlone, Robert Sankara, Angelo Kerspuy and Makhehleni Makhaula.

Stars coach Denis Lavagne's future remains unclear after he just join the club, but it is believe he will be handled by Swallows' new consortium to buy him out as Gordon Igesund is said to be the preferred choice to coach the club next season.
