Rivers State Sports commissioner, Boma Iyaye has apologised to fans of Sharks Fc for the poor performance of the club in recent times.
Sharks on Saturday at the Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium drew 0-0 against Gombe United, their second consecutive home draw, a result that pushed them back to fifth position.
Iyaye said on Sunday while watching the Dolphins game that Port Harcourt fans of the club should not give up on them yet as amends will be made.
"I want them to truly know that I am sorry for the poor outings of Sharks in recent times. I apologise on behalf of the club and I urge them not to lose faith in the club.
"Two draws do not mean it is all over for us. In the first round we were able to win and draw some games away and I believe we can still do it in the second round," Iyaye said.
Sharks insist they have all it takes to win the league this season or at least gain a spot on the continent.
