James Okwuosa rejoins Chippa United on new two-year deal

Nigerian defender James Okwuosa has had a change of heart and returned to sign a new two-year deal with Chippa United.

Okwuosa, who was set for a move to Orlando Pirates after signing a three-year pre-contract, met with the club on Tuesday to seek clarity on his future as Bucs management are believed to have decided against following through with the deal.

KickOff.com can now reveal that the 25-year-old has since re-signed with his former employers after meeting with club boss Chippa Mpengesi in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday.

"Yes, James has signed a two-year contract with us," Mpengesi confirms to this website.

"He has served the club very well for the past four years and is an important figure in our aspirations for silverware next season."
