Riyaad Norodien asks Orlando Pirates fans to have faith in him

Posted: 9 July 2016 Time: 22:24

New Orlando Pirates signing Riyaad Norodien has opened up to his new fans and asked them to have faith in him that he will deliver next season.

Norodien has completed his move to The Buccaneers even through the club has not yet officially confirmed it like they did for his former Ajax Cape Town teammate Abbubaker Mobara.

The 21-year-old says that should the supporters vote for him to play in the upcoming Carling Black Label Cup on 31 July, he will certainly not disappoint.

“Firstly I need to say that this will be a dream come true playing in a Soweto Derby in front of packed crowd,” Norodien tells KickOff.com.

“Have faith in me by voting for me to be a part of this great spectacle of a Soweto Derby. I’ve watched it on the TV and even then I could feel that it's a special event with lots of emotions - I want to share this with my new fans.

“I will give my all for the club if I get the opportunity and try not to disappoint. What's the point I've signed for such a big club and not given the opportunity? I can assure the fans that everything will be okay should I be given the chance.

“I also need to say that I come with an open mind and I'm here to embrace the culture.”

Norodien will wear Kermit Erasmus’ old number 95. ‘Skilo’ has posed on Instagram doing the skull and crossbones and was also pictured on Facebook wearing a Pirates top with number 95 emblazoned on it.
