Ajax Cape Town are close to completing the signing of midfielder Thabo Mosadi from University of Pretoria.
According to a source, negotiations between the the club and the player are "well underway" and it's only a matter of the two parties agreeing to personal terms.
"They are in talks for some time now and things could be finalised sooner rather than later, as negotiations are well under way," said the source.
Mosadi enjoyed his first training session under the watchful eye of coach Roger De Sa at the club's Ikamva base on Saturday morning, and is expected to serve as the replacement for Riyaad Norodien, who has since joined Orlando Pirates.
Meanwhile, De Sa also informed that the team are headed for the Garden Route on Wednesday in order to further their pre-season preparations.
"Yeah, we did it in the past, where we go away for a week or so to George. We'll be participating in some of the Mandela birthday celebrations," De Sa told reporters.
"I'm looking forward to that. It's always good to get out of our comfort zone and take the boys away for a while to harden them up a bit.
"[We will do] a lot of hikes and beach runs, and there's a lot of things to do over there."
