National First Division side AmaZulu are weighing up the possibility of signing veteran hit man Mabhuti Khenyeza.
According to a club official the Durban-based side have the former Golden Arrows man training with the club as they prepare for another season outside of the top flight.
Golden Arrows welcomed back their all-time leading goal scorer in the second half of the 2014/15 season after he rejoined from Mpumalanga Black Aces.
However, he was released by the club towards the end of the last campaign after an altercation with Arrows coach Clinton Larsen and assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi.
A lack of commitment to training and causing division in the dressing room were also cited as reasons for his dismissal.
Now Khenyeza has resurfaced at Usuthu with the hope of playing under new AmaZulu coach Joey Antipas.
"Yes, he is training with the club and there is nothing official, and it just few days since we started training," Usuthu's media officer Brilliant Mkhathini tells Kickoff.com.
If the 34-year-old Khenyeza does impresses Usuthu, he will be joining Siyabonga Nomvethe as the only two active players to have scored over 100 goals in the PSL.
