KickOff.com can reveal that Orlando Pirates have signed midfielder Donald Mokondelela from Baroka FC.

Mokondelela, who helped Baroka gain promotion to the PSL for the first time in their history, has signed a three-year contract with the Soweto giants.

“The 24-year-old is expected to start training with Pirates on Thursday, according to a source close to the club.

"Pirates have signed Makondelela. It's a done deal,” says the source. "He is arriving in Johannesburg today to start training with the club tomorrow.”

Following the news, Baroka have since confirmed Mokondelela's departure.

The Buccaneers have already signed striker Thabiso Kutumela from Baroka, having previously signed Gift Motupa from the very same club last year.

Maritzburg United's late-season hero of two months ago Thamsanwa Mkhize is the next player set to sign for the Sea Robbers on a three-year deal.
