Chippa United utility man Nkosinthi Mthiyane says his future is in the hands of his current club amidst interest from Orlando Pirates.
Mthiyane claims that club boss Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi was the one to inform him that the Buccaneers were after his signature.
KickOff.com reported more than a month ago that Mthiyane was the subject of interest from a host of clubs, including Pirates.
The 28-year-old has been full of energy down the left flank for Chippa this past season, scoring three times and assisting a further four since arriving from AmaZulu at the beginning of the year.
Mthiyane still has a year remaining on his contract but the Chilli Boys could be persuaded to allow him to leave.
“Chippa (Mpengesi) has told me about Pirates interest and I am still waiting for feedback from him about this,” Mthiyane tells KickOff.com.
“It is always exciting to hear of interest in your services from teams as big as Pirates but right now I am not putting it into my head because nothing has happened.
"I am just at home relaxing and will only see the need to start thinking about a move if I am told that the two clubs have agreed. For now I am staying and just looking forward to the start of pre-season."
Pirates have been making considerations about widening their options down the left-flank next season and Mthiyane fits that bill as he is able to play both left-back and left-wing.
