Mamelodi Sundowns' Tebogo Langerman expected more Bafana Bafana game-time

Posted: 2 July 2016 Time: 08:46

Mamelodi Sundowns left-back Tebogo Langerman has mixed feelings about his progress at international level.

Langerman is in Shakes Mashaba's plans as he played in Bafana Bafana's 4-0 rout of Gambia in an AFCON qualifier last month.

However, the 30-year-old believes he should have been in the national set-up a while back.

"I can't say I'm happy with how things have gone for me as far as the national team goes," Langerman tells the July edition of KICK OFF Magazine.

"To be honest I'm not happy. I'm happy that coach Shakes Mashaba has called me up now, obviously, but I feel that I should have been here a long time ago, because I have been a regular for so many years."

Langerman, who has four caps, has been a consistent presence for the Brazilians over the past four years.

The former SuperSport United man scored once and provided four assists in 24 league starts for Sundowns in 2015/16.

Langerman most recently featured in Downs' 2-1 win over Enyimba in the CAF Champions League on Wednesday night.
