Pitso Mosimane confirms peace talks with Anthony Laffor

Posted: 1 July 2016 Time: 14:34

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has assured the Brazilians that Anthony Laffor is not going anywhere and is staying with the club next season.

Laffor has been linked with a potential exit at Chloorkop after being suspended by the club following his late arrival from their short off-season break.

The Liberian international's suspension has since been lifted after he was hit with a fine by the club.

Mosimane confirmed that Laffor was set to be part of the team that beat Enyimba 2-1 in their CAF Champions League clash on Wenesday, but missed the game due to family issues.

"Laffor is fine; Laffor was supposed to be here. His daughter is in hospital since Tuesday, I think the daughter fell... It is unbelievable," said Mosimane.

"He is at the Edenvale hospital looking after his daughter. He was supposed to be in camp [on Tuesday], but there is no problem.

He added: "The disciplinary issues have been lifted. They [players] make mistakes, he came back late but we don't keep grudges.

"He got the punishment and we also fined him, so it is okay and he is back. He is one of us. Laffor has a contract with us."

Meanwhile, 'Jingles' has assured that striker Leornado Catsro will stay with the Absa Premiership champions next season despite reports suggesting he could return to Colombia over a contractual dispute.

"Leo is okay. He has some [contract] issues, obviously, you know the story; it's business," he added.

"We will sort it out; we will also look after him. We must also be lenient and understand. It's like me, in contract, my story was not about money it was about policy and some principles that had to be sorted.

"The money part was sorted out from day one. We are well looked after at Sundowns."
