Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says new signing Keagan Buchanan will add another dimension to the Glamour Boys midfield.
Buchanan was one of eight players Chiefs unveiled at a press conference at Naturena on Monday, along with former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele and ex-SuperSport United workhorse Enocent Mkhabela.
Komphela offered insight on the trio.
“Keagan is the type of player any coach would like as he can defend and attack with great tenacity. He has all the attributes to make a top class midfielder and will add an extra dimension to our midfield,” said Komphela of the 25-year-old, who spent the previous three years at Bloemfontein Celtic.
“Rama is a solid defender and possesses the type of leadership qualities that we require at the back. His experience as an international, and a league champion, will be of great benefit to us.”
Komphela added: “We’ve been monitoring Enocent and are delighted that he agreed to join us. We look forward to his hard work in the middle of the park.”
Meanwhile, Amakhosi have also brought in John Paintsil to serve as Komphela's assistant next season, while they have terminated the contracts of Bongani Ndulula, Sula Matovu and Ivan Bukenya.
