AmaZulu left-back Marc van Heerden insists he is unfazed to be transfer-listed by the club.
Usuthu are reducing their budget following their failure to seal an immediate return to the Absa Premiership this past season.
Van Heerden, who has been capped for Bafana Bafana, joined the Durban-based outfit in 2008 from University of Pretoria.
"No, it didn’t affect me," Van Heerden tells KickOff.com.
"Because I have done what I needed to do and it was the club's decision. My agent and the club are sorting it out and I’m still contracted to them."
The 28-year-old admits life is tough in the National First Division.
"The NFD is not an easy league and you can prepare as much as you would like and when it comes down to obviously playing in the league they see what it’s like," he says.
"AmaZulu haven’t been there for eight years so we all sort of forgot what is like to be in the NFD. Going down there it’s tough and there is a lot of competition. If you are not hundred percent in all departments you will find it very difficult."
