Orlando Pirates are set to swoop on Mpumalanga Black Aces goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane.

The 28-year-old is among the players to Aces want to retain following their sale and relocation to Cape Town, but Pirates are in need of some competition for Brighton Mhlongo, with Felipe Ovono seemingly on his way out.

“Pirates are talking to Jackson; the deal can happen anytime now,” KickOff.com’s source reports. “Ovono is set to leave and is concidering an offer in China.”

Mabokgwane spent most of last season playing second fiddle to Sha-Aib Walters.

The Buccaneers are also reportedly close to sealing a deal for Polokwane City striker Thobani Mncwango.
