Golden Arrows are pressing on hard with their bid to sign Bloemfontein Celtic striker Lerato Lamola as they seek to refresh their options up-front for the new season.
KickOff.com has confirmation that Arrows have already made contact and are keen to entice Lamola into relocating to Durban.
The striker has previously worked under Arrows coach Clinton Larsen when he was in charge at Celtic.
The hard-running forward has a year remaining on his contract, but is understood to be keen on moving on to another club where his terms will be improved instead of staying on at a club where his calls for a better deal have fallen on deaf ears.
Celtic have apparently not shown any interest in rewarding the 30-year-old with an improved contract, despite the fact that he has been a regular through most of his three years at the club.
KickOff.com knows that Kaizer Chiefs also did enquire about Lamola a couple of months ago, but then never then made any follow ups.
Arrows will be minus all the forwards they regularly used last season in Ryan Chapman, Mabhuti Khenyeza, Mwape Musonda, Rodney Ramagalela and Hellings Mhango.
