Zambian striker Collins Mbesuma has plenty options from “big and small clubs” in deciding his next employers following the surprise decision by Mpumalanga Black Aces not to retain him.
John Comitis, the Aces new boss, has already made it known that the PSL’s top scorer will not be with the club in Cape Town as his contract with the previous owners was running up at the end of this month.
This has suddenly meant that Mbesuma will be on the move yet again, with his representatives at ProSport International already working on his next destination.
“We are talking to several clubs at the moment regarding Collins,” Mike Makaab of ProSport tells KickOff.com. “There has been opportunities presented to us but ultimately he will have to make a decision.
“We will obviously advise, but there are big and small clubs interested. He has to decide on whether he wants to take a short-term contract or something longer because you have to understand he is a family man with school-going kids. But there are definitely options for him.”
KickOff.com knows for a fact that Mbesuma – who has now twice won the top goalscorer award – is wanted by Bloemfontein Celtic, while Maritzburg United and Free State Stars have also made enquiries.
A sensational return to Kaizer Chiefs is also believed to be an option being pursued considering that remaining in Gauteng is an option that he will prioritise.
Mbesuma has already played for Chiefs, Mamelodi Sunddowns, Moroka Swallows, Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates and Aces in the PSL.
