Former Bafana Bafana striker Katlego Mphela tells KickOff.com that his priority remains returning to the PSL next season.
Mphela spent the past season playing second tier football at Royal Eagles, where he scored nine goals in 17 starts, sending reminders that he still remains a useful man up-front.
“If truth be told I would prefer to have another crack in the PSL. An opportunity to play in the PSL would be my priority, just like I would also genuinely want to play overseas again,” Mphela tells KickOff.com.
“Right now I have a contract with Eagles up to the end of the month which I will still honour by going back on June 27, but I am yet to sign a new contract with them.
“Yes, we have been talking and I have made myself heard to them in the talks that we have been having.”
The 31 year-old last played for Kaizer Chiefs in the PSL. He had a difficult 18 months, but was still able to score five goals in nine starts.
