Twala, a January signing from Chippa United, says he was not expecting to be an Amakhosi player at this point in his life and talks in the latest edition of KICK OFF Magazine about how he tried to stand out at Pirates.

"Dying my hair blue is what I had to do to stand out and get noticed by the coaches at Pirates " Twala reveals in the June edition while reflecting on his struggles at Pirates and loan move to Chippa.

"It was a stategy for me to be recognised. Now I'm just relying on my hard work and performances. But when I look back to the beginning of this season [in August 2015], I never in a million years thought I was going to finish the season playing at Kaizer Chiefs..."

Twala has impressed when given a chance by Steve Komphela and was often a breath of fresh air during a generally disappointing season for Amakhosi.
