Rivaldo Coetzee will captain South Africa against Lesotho in COSAFA Castle Cup

South Africa have named their starting XI for the COSAFA Castle Cup quarterfinal against Lesotho in Namibia on Saturday.

The team will be lead by captain Rivaldo Coetzee, who deputises in the absence of Keagan Dolly.

Reyaad Pieterse has been selected in goal, with Danish-based Lebogang Phiri anchoring the midfield.

Thembinkosi Lorch and Judas Moseamedi from Mpumalanga Black Aces are leading the line up front.

The team is coached by Shakes Mashaba, but is essentially an Under-23 selection with the core of this group going to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. 

The winner of today’s quarterfinal will face either Zambia or Swaziland in the semifinals.

South Africa XI: Pieterse, Moerane, Sikhakhane, Coetzee (capt), Rikhotso, Mobara, Phiri; Lorch, Modiba, Motupa, Moseamedi.

Lesotho XI: Jousse, Makepe, Moremoholo, Tseka, Kalake, Potloane, Mahula, Thaba-Ntso, Seturumane, Kamela, Khutlang.
