Highlands Park's PSL incentive as they lead Promotion Playoffs

Posted: 14 June 2016 Time: 14:25

Highlands Park director Sinky Mnisi says his club has not reserved any special incentives for the players if the club gets promoted to the PSL next season.

Highlands are set to take on Mbombela United in the third game of the Promotion Playoffs at the Makhulong Stadium tomorrow.

A win against United in Tembisa will guarantee the Lions of the North a place in the Absa Premiership next season and Mnisi says his players know the prize they are playing for.

“We don’t offer an incentive [in terms of money for the players]. Playing to qualify for PSL is an incentive on its own,” Mnisi tells KickOff.com. ”Our players are being paid very well.”

The former Jomo Cosmos PRO is positive they can achieve a good result against Mbombela on Wednesday afternoon.

“We are not going to get carried away. To be confident will be cocky of us. We shall only remain positive that we get the result tomorrow,” says Mnisi.

“We are highly motivated by the good defensive record at home and the crowd at home. We will try our best to finish the business at home tomorrow and not rely on mathematics.”
