Jody February on Bafana's COSAFA chances

Posted: 10 June 2016 Time: 20:50

Jody February says Bafana Bafana can win the COSAFA Cup, but he insists they will not get ahead of themselves.

The Ajax Cape Town man is one of three goalkeepers in the squad, and will battle it out for a starting place with Reyaad Pieterse, who recently joined SuperSport United from Kaizer Chiefs, and Nkosingiphile Gumede of Golden Arrows.

The regional championship takes place in Namibia between June 11-25, and February says preparations are going well.

“The boys look hungry, the team looks good and is gelling well,” the 20-year-old tells KickOff.com. “We have all the talent to win it, but we are going to take it one game at a time.”

Bafana have a bye to the quarterfinals, where they will face the winner of a Group B consisting of Malawi, Angola, Lesotho and Mauritius on 18 June.
