Glenn Verbauwhede has received his clearance from Mamelodi Sundowns and says he already has offers on the table.
The Belgian goalkeeper spent the past season on loan at Maritzburg United, but was “placed on leave” in April, though the club would not elaborate on the reasons.
The 31-year-old confirms he has received a few offers, and that he is more than happy to remain in South Africa.
“I am free to join any team now,” he tells KickOff.com. “I have received a few offers from overseas, but I am ready to consider a few options in South Africa.”
Verbauwhede joined Sundowns in 2013, but hardly featured and spent loan spells at Free State Stars and Maritzburg.
Meanwhile, KickOff.com has learnt that The Team of Choice are chasing midfielder Lebo Maboe, who has impressed in Mbombela United’s promotion charge.
